There are a lot of internet questions about techniques for getting rid of "Unknown Accounts?" that have total control over some directories, with names like S-1-5-21-1956894 .... .
My question is different.
IS MICROSOFT STILL USING THIS INFORMATION????
The folders (modified 2004) have MicroSoft stuff in them. One is a supplimentary EULA for MicroSoft Operating Systems. In 2004, I reinstalled my XP OS on a new machine after a CPU/MoBo hardware failure.
Does anyone know if this EULA is still relevant?
I want to delete junk folders, but not defeat MS security.
Detailed Info:
The folders look like this and were owned by "Unknown Accounts?" with name S-1-5-21-1956894 ....
C:21771815ad75f4..... (folder with padlock)
...empty.cat
...spmsg.dll
...spuninst.exe
...wmp.dll
...update (folder)
......custdll.dll
......eula.txt
......kb837272.cat
......spcustom.dll
......spupdsvc.exe
......update.inf
......update.ver
