Trying to find a driver for "unknown Device"

Hello, Windows 7 64BIT say it has found the driver for

SB Audigy 2 ZS's creative game port, but "encountered an error while
attempting to install it". "An error occurred during the installation
of the devise". "The driver installation file for this device is
missing a necessary entry". "This may be because the INF was written
foe windows 95 or later". Contact your hardware vender".

Does Windows 7 support game ports?
TIA

Is this an example of what you're trying to do? I admit, I don't
really know what a game port is.

Ok, so I was on the right track and the link I provided might actually
be helpful. OTOH, I figured game ports had gone out of favor some
10-15 years ago, so I wasn't sure.

No. They stopped with Vista.

Here is one work-around to try:

They did. But 'why' Windows can't install the driver is odd, I'd get into
Device Manager and remove all things SoundBlaster and reboot. A lot of the
time that will successfully re-install the drivers (the Windows supplied
drivers are all the OP needs for the game port).

Also used as a MIDI port for use w/keyboard synths, drum machines, audio
processing devices, etc.
There can be a MIDI port on the same connector but it is not part of the
game port.
Each part needs it's own drivers.

Their driver support says that the Game Port is NOT supported in Windows
7.

And that makes what I said incorrect just *how*? The game port is
both a _device_ and _connector_. And yes, different drivers are
required, but the game port _connector_ is also used for MIDI (in an
exclusionary serial port mode mode).

a) I did not say anything about incorrect.

b) There are game ports that do not have a MIDI port.
