Trouble installing SP 1

I've downlaoded SP1 and when I try to run it nothing happens after the" Preparing Your Computer" screen. I've waited and hour and nothing happens.

Have you run the update readiness tool?

Please run the update readiness tool and then update to SP-1


Ensure you install the correct 64 or 32 bit option for your system)
Download the System Update Readiness Tool (64bit)
Download the System Update Readiness Tool (32bit)

I tried the readiness tool but the only cure was to erase the entire disk and start over.

Looks like from your other posts that you have reinstalled to cure one or two problems. perhaps you can post back if the problems are still there.
