I have no idea what caused your problem with the link. It works fine

The trouble with that trick is that it requires using an aero theme,
with the translucent taskbar. I am using the Windows Classic theme, and
the only way to change the taskbar color is to change the color for all
3D objects. That means all window frames, buttons, etc.

Hi Dave,

I understand that the solution provided is not a panacea for all
instances of changing the taskbar color, but merely a solution for the
situations where it is applicable.

That's where I found it too.
It helps me remember (most of the time) not to waste time arguing
with crazies and trolls on Usenet.

I also find it helpful at work when I learn of a policy decision that
I disagree with.
