My taskbar is currently like the attached image. Is there any way I can change it so that the shortcuts stay next to eachother and not sit in between the opened programs without combining the program bars?

You can drag and drop things where ever you want.

Also you can add a Vista-like quick launch.

Fixed my issue. I completely forgot about quick launch due to the way W7 is set up at the beginning.
