Do you have a subscription to Avast?
If you do, then please update it.

If you do not, then I highly suggest that you do the following:

• Download and create a CD or DVD or USB for Windows offline Defender:
• http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows/what-is-windows-defender-offline
• Scan your computer.
  
• Download and install, Microsoft Security Essentials:http://windows.microsoft.com/en-GB/windows/products/security-essentials
