Switching between 64-bit Windows 7 HPE's 32-bit and 64-bit Internet Explorer v8 (IE8) causes Search

Hello.

On my office's 64-bit Windows 7 HPE machine with its IE8, I switch
between its 32-bit and 64-bit IE web browsers. However, it keeps telling
me that my default search provider setting was corrupted in IE. Here is
a screen shot/capture: http://i.imgur.com/ogtL6.gif ...

How can I make this stop/fix this? I don't even use Bing.com search
engine (use Google.com) and its form in IE8. I couldn't reproduce this
on my other 64-bit Windows 7 HPE machine so I assume something broke on
this machine. :(

Thank you in advance. :)

I take it that for some reason you can't just choose the search provider
again. If not, try the suggestion here given by Irene; one IE at a time!

There is also a checkbox in IE8, under 'Manage Search Providers', which says
"Prevent programs from suggesting changes to my default search provider".
Maybe this would do the same thing.

I only have one search provider. I will try your link idea later. I am
not on that office computer for a few days (a long weekend now).

OK, I tried Amazon search and it worked. Then, I removed Bing and still
works. Then, I added a newer(?) Bing and it still worked. Removed
Amazon's search, and no more problems. Thanks! :)
