SOLVED Stereo Mix

Two weeks ago I had to reload Windows 7. All went well, all programs successfully reinstalled. However I am missing Stereo Mix from my recording devices. I went to Realtek.com and downloaded correct driver. This installed correctly; I can see it sitting in Program Files (x86), but I cannot get it to come to life and it does not appear in recording devices, even with "Show Disabled Devices" checked. Ideas anyone? Thanks.

I wish I had an answer to this issue too. I've found that winxp made it so much easier to do this.
