Start Button will not default to normal look of win 7

Somewhere along the line I changed my start button and it remained changed for the longest time. I finally was cleaning up my laptop and decided to run sfc /scannow after I tried resetting the start button with one of those button changing apps. I figured sfc/ would do the trick. Well explorer.exe remains a changed start button and it won't default to the normal windows 7 look no matter what I do. Is there any other way of changing this to a normal Windows 7 explorer.exe sp1? This really bugs me that it won't go back to normal. My laptop is win 7 x64 Corsair SSD i5 cpu 8gb Ram. Acer 8943g.
