Standard Buttons Bar In Windows Explorer

T

tb

I am using Windows 7 Home Premium, SP1, 32-bit.

Under XP, Windows Explorer showed a bar called Standard Buttons Bar.
It had icons for Delete, Undo, Cut, Copy, Paste, Refresh.

I installed Windows 7 and the Standard Buttons Bar in Windows Explorer
is missing. I cannot figure out how to make it re-appear.

Is this it possible, or did Microsoft get rid of it?

When in Windows Explorer (in Windows 7) press the Alt-key, it will
bring up the menu bar. Although this isn't exactly what you want, I
believe it gets you a little closer.

Doing it this way it brings up the menu bar for a single use only.
Should you want the menu bar to display all the time, in Windows
Explorer expand Organize (click the little down arrow), then hover
over Layout which will cause another menu to pop out, on this
context menu click Menu Bar; it will now display until you reverse
these steps to hide it.

As answered by Chet, most of those features were taken out starting with
Vista. There is a nice add-on program called Classic Shell that will give
you back what Microsoft took away ;-)

These are all the features that can be enabled, but you don't have to do
them all; just pick and choose what you want. Click on "Home" to download
it.

Here's how to permanently have the Menu Bar displayed. Go to Control
Panel / Folder Options / View and under Files and Folders check "Always
Show Menus". That seems to work for me.
