Hi, I am running win 7 64 bit on an ASUS M2N32-sli with an AMD x64 4200 plus. I use a Dell laser printer 1320C. It is actually manufactured by Samsung. Spool service periodically drops out. When it does,of course when I try to print I get a message saying I have to add a printer, but cannot do so. If I restart spool service it stops right away.
I reboot fixed the problem. While checking on the problem log I noted that the system crashed...yes I get random win 7 freezes where it just locks up. More often than not there is an error message about spool service. Any ideas will be much appreciated. I have reinstalled the printer drivers.
