Split Screen On New Email

Help - somehow I now have a contact screen on a split screen when I am composing a new email in Outlook 2010. It reads "cllck on photo to see social network updates and emails from this person". I believe this is not part of Outlook.
Can someone tell me how to make this split screen disappear?

Can you post a screen shot? No it's not part of Outlook, unless you added a social media group it shouldn't be there.

You probably installed the Social Connector during Office installation.

Open the Windows Control Panel, then click Program and Features. In the Program and Features dialog box, select Microsoft Office 2010 and then click Change. In the Microsoft Office 2010 setup dialog select Add or Remove Features and then click Continue. In the Installation Options dialog, click Microsoft Outlook, click Outlook Add-Ins, and follow the prompts to remove Outlook Social Connector.
