Sony Handycam

I have a sony handycam digital video camera recorder. I want to move the videos that I took down on my laptop. I just can't figure out how to do it.

Any ideas?

When I connect the USB, nothing happens. The laptop does not even try to recognize the device.

Looks like you need the 5.0 patch ...
Picture Motion Browser version 4.3.03 includes the function to import videos from a tape in the DV camcorder. Installing Picture Motion Browser version 5.0 or Higher disables that function. This patch re-enables the import function after Picture Motion Browser version 5.0 has been installed.

And then the 5.2 update

You may want the launcher but it's probably not essential.
