Some observations with win7 compared with XP

Good: You can now shrink an existing partition in disk management.

Bad: In event viewer I can't grab the scroll thumb with the mouse and
scroll the contents of the window.

But only until you meet the first immovable file. And you can't move the
created space in order to expand a partition to the right of the space...

I click in the window, then use my mouse wheel. It's about as effective.

Not even close to being as effective. With mouse wheel it would take
around a minute to scroll all the way through... grabbing the scroll
thumb, 1 - 2 seconds.

What's a scroll thumb?

You can click in the area above or below the "thumb" and scroll pretty
rapidly.

OK that's almost as fast but not nearly as smooth and I can't control
precisely the position of the thumb, not to mention that to change
direction I have to move the mouse all the way to the opposite end.
Event Viewer is one place where I really need to grab the thumb to
quickly and smoothly locate the warnings and errors in both directions.

Another alternative is to use Eventviewer's Filter command to select
just what you want to see. Go to the View menu, select Filter, then
deselect everything except Warnings and Errors. The view reverts back
to 'everything' when you close and re-open Eventviewer, or you can
simply select All Records from the View menu.

I was assuming that you would actually want to see the contents, not just go
from top to bottom as fast as possible.
