Well, editing the monitor driver inf file did work. But I also edited
the registry in HKLM\System\ControlSet001 and 002\Class\{<monitor's
hive entry>}\0000 and just changed the MaxResolution key to the res I
wanted. Worked like a charm! My free solution to you!
