Sharing a folder

I created a folder on the desktop. I would like to share it on the
network, but when I right click...share menu and pick home read or
home read/write. But when I sellected it again it is still "locked"

I would also like to pin this folder to the taskbar, but for some
strange reason, it is not an option.

Sometimes you may need to unshare the folder before sharing again. I have
the option of "sharing with everyone" activated, so that my Digital Media
Player can navigate through my PC files and play them, but sometimes I need
to unshare the folder (that is, share with no-one, a padlock will appear)
and then share it again with any specific user I like.

I cannot pin a folder to the taskbar either, but I can pin it to the
quicklaunch bar, if desired. I can't se the point for doing that, but it can
be done.
