Search For File Types

In XP we could do a search for specific file types...such as: jpg, mpg.etc.
How is that done with the Windows 7 search?

Thanks,

Oreally

When in Windows Explorer, type whatever search string you want into the
search box. If you type "*.zip", for instance, all files having the zip
extension will be found. On the other hand, if you type "zip", then all
files with zip in any part of the name, including those with the .zip
extension, will be found (with zip highlighted in the results). This does
not work from the Start Orb Search box.

Could you please simplify your answer for a simple man?
Sure. Type "type:=.jpg" (without the quotes around it) in the search
box in Windows Explorer to search for jpeg files.

No need to even do that.
Type jpg in the search box....
