screen switiching not wanted

Just got a new machine from HP with a few bells and whistles.
I also have a laptop from HP which has windows 7 as well.

The new machine has an annoying problem. Basically I will be watching tv
and the screen will blank, then the screen shows the "switch user" screen.
Sound is still coming through the speakers.
Pressing any key reverts back to the original screen.

How do I turn this blasted annoyance off?

Turned out to be a screen saver issue. I always forget about this when I
get a new machine. Why does MS insist upon screen savers anyway?

You can turn off screen savers, I personally like "Blank page", bubbles
and other things are an irritant.

Configuring Windows 7 is a tedious task. The operating system seems
reliable but turning off unwanted programs and additional unwanted
extras is an endless task.

Still, screensavers?
I've only seen one case where the tv screen was "burned".
That was because the tv had a clock overlay and the tv was on 24/7.
The world's best screen saver is to simply turn off the monitor.

And what is it with this updating 10 times a day? The only reason I see for
that is to send information back to MS on what's on that computer and how
it's being used.
Which is why turn updating off.
It's my damn machine, not yours.

It might be your machine, but the OS belongs to them. You pay a fee to
use it.

You can automatically disable the screensaver by watching the tv in
full-screen mode. Most programs disable the screensaver when used in
full-screen mode.

FU and F M$!
Well if that's the way you feel about it, you are always free to choose
another Operating System for your PC. After all nobody is forcing you
to use Windows.

Normally, me too. In this case I didn't think "choro" would be smart enough
to grasp that.
I see I was right.
