I think that resume from sleep stops during wake-up of the graphics card. I am putting the PC to sleep (S3). When resuming, the PC starts but stops by showing the text (in simple text mode on the display):
RV630 PRO DDR2 512MB 75606BAB.HFH
Firewire is not turned on (no power/sync on FW sound device). Disks do not continue as during a normal restart. The graphics card is a ATI Radeon HD 2600 PRO.
I interpret this as if the card starts resuming but is unable to complete. It may also be related to or caused by RAM. Before upgrading my PC from Vista 64 to Windows 7, I had to increase my voltage on the memory to make it restart. I am not sure whether lack of voltage on memory or other parts of the system could cause the resume to stop in this state.
Any ideas?
