This is not for uninstalling the games but should remove the games link from start menu. 1st you need to open the Control Panel from start menu. Then select Programs and Features, you should see Turn Windows Future On or Off at the left side. Uncheck the Games folder to uninstall all games, or expand Games and uncheck the games you want to uninstall, and then click OK. That should remove the Games Link on the start menu.

Try it, thanks.

Jim, could you be more specific. Sometimes they come with Acer Games or Wild Tangent, see if you have those listed in your add/remove programs and it may get rid of what you are referring to.

Or if you could list the games we may be able to find their likely install location and it may be possible to delete them manually.

Even if you don't display the games in the menu, as suggested above, the games are taking space on your harddrive. Space is relatively cheap these days but you still might want them gone not just out-of-sight.

Well Wild Tangent should show on the list of Programs & Features so you should be able to delete those.

Then click on Turn Windows features On & Off & uncheck the Games option to remove Microsoft Games.

I have done what maziye said and the microsoft ones have gone but the wild tangent ones are not on the uninstall list so I do not know how to get rid of them.

If you download and run SIW (installable and portable versions), links in the Freeware Database HERE. Select the Installed Programs in the left hand window. It will list everything installed on your PC.

See if Wild Tangent is listed there.

BTW, what Maziye suggested did not remove the games, it merely removed the menu so you don't see them. If someone wants to play them they can still find them and do so. If you want them removed you need to go to Control Panel\Programs and Features ... Turn Windows features On & Off & uncheck the Games option (first entry in the list) to remove Microsoft Games.

-AND-

Here is the WildTangent sites removal instructions; it clearly says at the bottom that WildTangent should be in control panel\Programs and Features so you can remove it (so if it is gone then something you did likely deleted it and you should try the other ideas on that page).

Then after that you might want to run the WildTangent Removal Tool from PCHell; it is at the bottom of the page Here.
