itself off. But I see no way to switch it on again: I see no sort

That looks like about 18 days in all.
Mine shows 10/06 to 28/06; also 18 days.

Try mousing on the little arrow in the right hand side. It should reveal
"Scroll right".

If that doesn't work, then maybe it is truly switched off.
You can switch it on/off from the Task Manager. Here's how;
