Hi I'm getting BSOD on a daily basis. It happens while gaming, using office or idling overnight. I'm running MSE for my anti-virus.

I've updated my MoBo drivers, done roll backs and hardware checks but it keeps happening. Attached here is my mini-dump.

Any help would be appreciated!

Here is the message that follows the re-boot:

Hello and welcome.

1) Install my attachment to update this very old motherboard ATK0110 driver:

ASACPI ASACPI.sys Sun Mar 27 22:30:36 2005

2) Your Realtek lan driver is very old and needs to be updated:

Rt64win7 Rt64win7.sys Thu Feb 26 04:04:13 2009

RTL8111

3) Your Realtek HD Audio is also very old and needs to be updated:

RTKVHD64 RTKVHD64.sys Fri May 22 14:04:20 2009

Run the installer. Reboot. Run it again:

RtkHDAudio

4) Visit the manufacturer's site of your wireless adapter and install the latest driver for it:

athrx athrx.sys Tue Jun 09 14:06:49 2009

I have had no BSOD overnight, so I'm cautiously optimistic. You instructions were pretty much what I was trying and failing to do using windows device manager and the Asus website. Thanks TorrentG.

Right on, cool.

Yup, always visit manufacturers' sites and never update through Windows Update (deny the drivers) nor the device manager.

Enjoy.

Or maybe it's a virus since something seems to have turned off MSE and MSE update service and trashed the MSE executable...

Here is today's mini dump.

Malware can not cause bsods without being present in the crash dumps. I don't see malware.

Atheros driver, the most likely culrpit that was of them all, has not been updated yet.

Code:
start end module name
fffff880`04274000 fffff880`043cc000 athrx (deferred)
    Image path: \SystemRoot\system32\DRIVERS\athrx.sys
    Image name: athrx.sys

Post a screenshot of CPU-Z memory and spd tabs.

Also, download and run Memtest86+ and test the memory 8-10 passes.

Here are the CPU-Z reports. Looks like I have mismatched memory. But it's been that way for over a year and the BSODs just started within the last month.
I'll memtest next time I reboot.
