Problems logging in

I'm getting an error that says The User Profile Service service failed the log on. User profile cannot be loaded.

Are you able to log on as any user at all?

If not, are you able to boot in to safe mode and use the default Administrator account?

I have this same problem but i am able to log in with another user; it is only a particular user. are there methods to correct this without deleting the user entirely?

sorry for the link but this happened to me a while ago and used this tutorial to fix it and it worked.
