Problems, just problems!

So I am currently running in safe mode(w/networking) due to... something! When I booted my system it loaded with no problems, but my signal to my wifi wouldn't actually load. It kept showing that little circle around it, but it was froze and wasn't spinning. I tried opening a few programs on my taskbar, but nothing loaded! So I to my control panel and nothing loaded there, so I closed my control panel and tried loading it again, but my taskbar froze and showed a small windows asking me if I wanted to "end process" but even that wasn't responding.

My operating system is Windows 7 Home Premium

I would run any software you have for Virus's and malware and spyware doing full scans while you're in safemode. It's sure sounds like that's what has infected your system.
