(I assume the asker is in UK.) Yes, it seems odd that PlusNet are ownedwithout problem. They are of course owned by BT, but I've been using them and
Metronet (who they took over) since 2004.

The @btopenworld.com email address was a bit of a giveaway... :^)[email protected] (J. P. said:(I assume the asker is in UK.) Yes, it seems odd that PlusNet are

they have an entirely UK (mostly Sheffield, I think) helpdesk,
which BT do not.
Aargh! I forgot about that! :^)(And since JKE
didn't, I'll be cheeky and say if you go with them please mention

AFAIK their helpdesk is totally UK-based now.
Assuming we're talking PlusNet, there's no actual extra charge for theParker51 <[email protected]> said:Was with them for a few years and found the service reliable with good

occasion I had to speak to them I was answered promptly by a well
spoken and intelligent person who I had no difficulty in understanding
or in trying to convey my query. It was dealt with quickly. Help lines
are free.
For budget, in UK, talktalk and plusnet usually vie for cheapest: IMy recommendation would be BT closely followed by Plusnet. Others will
no doubt disagree. But unless you have sack loads of cash to spare on a
premium service that's what I would suggest.
Good luck with your choice.
No, there is an 0800 number now!Helpdesk is based in UK but you pay for calls.
No. That's Plusnet (including the phone side). I don't know who BT use nowadays.[email protected] (J. P. said:Assuming we're talking BT, is that including telephone-related

ANYTHING is better than Talktalk's customer "service"....Personally I'd say PlusNet's customer service is far better than
talktalk's
