Permission Problem

I'd be very grateful for any suggestions

Just got a new Win 7 / 64 box and set it up with an Admin and Standard User
account.

I partitioned the drive into 3 sections , putting my Data files on J.

For my initial install I had an Outlook data file and a Quicken data file on
J drive and all was fine. I accessed them from my Standard user account. A
few installations didn't go as planned later on , so I decided to restore
from a previously saved image I made with Windows Backup when I first got
the computer .

I'm trying to reinstall and re link my Data to the j drive location ( for
the Standard user account ) and now I'm told that I don't have permission to
access the files ?

I opened the drive from the Admin account and gave permission to everyone on
the list , but I still can't access from the Standard user account.
eg when I try to open the Quicken or Outlook pst file I'm told I can't
access it. I can get everything from the Admin account , but I'd really like
to be able to use the Standard account if possible.

Many Thanks

There seams to be two levels of giving permissions. Note another button at
the bottom also saying Permissions

Hi Trev

After the 'panic ' subsided , I managed to figure it out.
Right click > SHARE WITH and then I selected the Standard User's Name.
I think I know why I had a 'problem' after restoring the image.
Before the image my Computer Name and Description were INTEL and Corei5
respectively
After I restored the image , I set it up again , and this time I ' think ' I
reversed them ?
Won't make that mistake again !

Thanks for the reply...I'm sure I'll be back soon !
