performance option..

today suddenly i noticed that my pc do not read no cd or dvd'sand now i see performance option everytime i reastart pc what is happening here?

I have no idea what "Performance Option" means. Maybe you could take a screenshot and post it so we can see?

It's possible your DVD drive went bad, it does happen every 3 to 7 yrs for me.

Standard suggestion ANY TIME SOMETHING SEEMS WEIRD WITH YOUR PC ... reboot into safe mode and run a complete anti-virus scan in case you are infected.

If you are NOT infected then try a Restore Point to before the problem.
