OT: Excel problem

Scott

I have run into a problem with Excel. When I open a file and scroll
down it, the cells appear repeated and blurred. It is not the file
that is corrupted (as the contents are unaffected) but the way Excel
displays the spreadsheet.

I have used 'Detect and repair', Office diagnostics, rebooted the
computer and installed the latest graphics driver and nothing solves
the problem.

I'm mystified. Any ideas?

UPDATE. I have now discovered a more up-to-date driver for the
graphics card (Nvidia). This seems to have resolved the problem.

I find it hard to believe that a driver could have selectively
disrupted Excel while the rest of the computer worked okay.

I am glad the problem seems to be resolved but as far as the mystery
goes, the plot thickens.

What happens when you "refresh" the display?
Still blurred? or Clear? If clear, the video driver is usually the
culprit. (Old reoccurring problem going back for years on some video
card mfrs drivers)
As you found, the video driver is often the culprit.
Some of the recent video driver versions were "optimized"
for video games, and, seemingly, the speed up process used
dropped some code needed for such things as scrolling support.
Sometimes, driver options such as frame sync help.
