no sound aarrgghhhh

i have window7 and a mirai flatscreen hdmi ready... i have hdmi cable connected but only movie picture plays thru tv...the sound only comes out thru the laptop.. i tried google but no help at all!!!! please help thanks

If desktop, which video card?

im really new with this stuff so im not sure... its new anyways i think is it pavilion dv6 SD.MS/pro.MMC.XD.. dont know what video card is thanks mate

No problem. We're here to help.

It's usually near the top left of the number pad. If you can't find it, then right click Computer in the start menu or on the desktop. Choose properties.

i found out i have windows7 hp pavilion dv62112sa laptop and a MIRAI DTL-532W100 which drivers do i have to download to get sound even the site would be gratefully appreciated

mate i downloaded the driver but still no sound any ideas?? im really getting wound up surely it cant be that difficult?? please help!"!aaarrrggghhh

no success

ive downloaded the drivers but still no sound aaarrrggghhhh.. how do i install or change my original ones.. thanks guys

What app are you using and what are you trying to watch? Blu-Ray? .mkv? .avi? This is probably a configuration setting either in the application or the GPU driver panel.

If you go to control panel\sound you should see the attached image. Is the HDMI option set as the default for your playback?

If you cannot see an HDMI entry then right-click and select show disabled devices; then right-click and enable it. If you still don't have one then you need to check you have the needed drivers.
