I am running windows 7 on my HP desktop. When I place a disk in the CD/DVD tray and attempt to run the program, windows 7 tells me there is no disk in the tray or can't find the files. When I place the same CD disk in my laptop I can run setup with no problem. My laptop is also running windows 7.

Any suggestions, tips, etc, to resolve my issue??

Thanks

It is rare that there is a driver problem with DVD drives. They mostly will run with the Windows 7 built in generic drivers. But you could lok in the device manager and see if the properties indicate anything unusual. Try, whilst in there, uninstalling the existing driver and restarting..

Often older drives/DVD/CD's can vary in performance. Is this one paricular DVD or any of your collection? If only one, give it a good wipe with a soft cloth and try again. May be some dust which the drive cannot interpret.
