new XP Mode installation complications

Now that XP mode is available without hardware supported virtualization
I would like to try it out. As it happens, I already have MS Virtual PC
6 installed for Windows 98, and this works fine.

Must I uninstall the old VPC before installing the new, or can they
coexist? Will the new version be able to access the files for my 98, or
will I have to reinstall that in the new environment?
