New Router To Printer

OldeGuye

My old router still working but had poor range.
Got an Amped R20000G 600 mw router. Much better range.
Installed and all seemed OK until I tried to print.
Win 7 Pro did not see the printer but it did find the NAS on the same
switch in the back bedroom that the printer is on so I know the
connection is good. That is hardwired. I also wirelessly and easily
connected to my laptop. My main PC is hardwired to the new router.

I finally found the port setup for the printer but it does not show an
IP but instead a printer name SEC001.... It is a Samsung CLX3175FN.
All was working before the router replacement and Win 7 tracked the
printer whenever the old router changed IP addresses. (unfortunately my
laptop is an XP Pro and I had to fiddle with it to get the correct IP
to reconnect).

Also notices that this router has a different standard base IP of
192.168.3.X. The old router was 192.168.1.X

What is available to scan my network and find my printer IP so I can
manually enter it as the Port Setting for Win 7 Pro? Or do what?
My printer does not have a fixed IP set. If I need to do that, how do
I do it? Please don't says look at the manual. Give me some
terminology to help me figure out what to look for.
Win 7 troubleshooter was zero help.

Or is there a better way?

Standard way is to use the printer front-panel controls to
print a Network Configuration Report, which will tell you
what IP has been allocated by the DHCP server in your router.

Go into Devices and Printers and delete the printer that's listed there.
With the printer turned on, click on Add a Printer > Network, and the scan
should find your printer. It may ask you to choose the model, but with the
driver already installed, it should just show the printer correctly, and
work just fine.
