Intros first. I'm 24 years old and I'm new here but definitely not new to a PC and to most regular troubleshooting. I've seen my whole share of PC troubleshooting ever since they became a prick to me during the Windows 98 days (you just gotta be familiar with PC problems if you're a regular PC gamer, am I right?). Just got a new PC after 6 years late last month. Since my last PC was 6 years ago (P4 Prescott, Windows XP), I'm still quite a bit rusty with today's standards but I think I am catching up.
Specs:
AMD Phenom II X4 3.4 GHz Black Edition Socket AM3
MSI 785G-E53 Socket AM3
ATI Radeon HD 4200 256MB (Onboard from the mobo)
4 GB (2 GBx2) Kingston DDR3 1333MHz RAM
Seagate Barracuda 500GB SATA HDD
Samsung 22X SH-S233Q/L SATA LS DVD Writer
Thermaltake Litepower 600W PSU
Antec 300 Case with 5 cooling fans
Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit
*I opted to stick to the onboard ATI HD 4200 video for the meantime as I was on a budget with a more bang-for-my-buck approach when I bought this and because I found out that the HD 4200 is actually quite adequate. I still plan on purchasing a PCI-E card though.
Now here's the deal. I've been gettings BSODs EVERYDAY! It's not that they're happening every second but when they do happen, they usually happen after exiting a game. With Starcraft 2, it happens only sometimes after I exit the game but not always. With Elder Scrolls IV Oblivion, though, it happens every time I exit the game! If I don't get the BSOD right after exiting the game, the BSOD will appear out of nowhere as I do normal things like surfing the web with Google Chrome or chatting with buddies on Yahoo Messenger. The only other non-game-related BSOD I remember was when I was transferring songs to my iPod but I guess that was because I just exited a game a few minutes prior to that.
Past experience told me that my first suspect is my memory so I ran the Windows 7 memory diagnostic thingy twice...one normal and one extended. The tests turned out okay with no problems. Now, I've been thinking since they always happen after exiting my games, I think this has something to do with my onboard video but I'm yet sure of this. Attached are my dump files from day 1 that I installed Windows 7 64. Any help please?
