Hello Elmer,

You said ---

As a Priority:

AsIO.sys Tue Aug 24 02:53:02 2010 Asus PCProbe Utility. Has issues with Windows 7. Uninstall.

AsUpIO.sys Tue Aug 03 03:47:59 2010 AMD Overdrive. Possible issues with Windows 7. Uninstall.

NTIOLib_X64.sys MSI Afterburner driver. Known issues with Windows 7. Uninstall.

It looks like:

AsIO.sys is an ASUS file. I have tried to remove ASUS files and when I search for this I cannot find it?

AsUpIO.sys is another ASUS file and I cannot find it.

dxgmms1.sys. This file is a DirectX file I think. Am I right in saying that if I reinstall my graphics driver this will solve it. I thought DirectX files were Microsoft files and not NVidia. How do I remove the main culprit of the BSOD?

You don't want to be removing the dxgmms1.sys. As you say, it's graphics related so hopefully resetting the graphics will cure it. Also running sfc /scannow will check your system files for integrity.

The driver that gets "blamed" for the blue screen is the driver that was last called when the crash happened. Not always the actual cause.

GoTo: C:\Windows\System32\Drivers and do a manual search for the drivers. Also look in C:\Windows\SysWOW64\drivers. If they're not there then you'll need to do a search for them. I haven't got an Asus board so couldn't tell you for definite where they are. If you cannot see the Drivers folders you'll have to enable "Show hidden files, folders and drives".

I don't understand how dxgmms1.sys works. If its causing the BSOD how is it doing so? How will re-installing NVidia drivers help to solve this problem. Why don't I just remove dxgmms1.sys and re-install this. I presume that dxgmms1.sys is a windows file and not NVidia?

That's correct. The sfc /scannow should fix it if there's anything wrong with it.

Hello Elmer,

Can I just delete these files below when I find them?

AsIO.sys Tue Aug 24 02:53:02 2010 Asus PCProbe Utility. Has issues with Windows 7. Uninstall.

AsUpIO.sys Tue Aug 03 03:47:59 2010 AMD Overdrive. Possible issues with Windows 7. Uninstall.

NTIOLib_X64.sys MSI Afterburner driver. Known issues with Windows 7. Uninstall.

Hello,

I have found a few instances of NTIOLib_X64.sys file.

I have no idea which to delete etc

I actually use the MSI control Center for controlling fan speeds so I don't know if deleting this file will effect the said program.

As for the other two files I have changed the extension to .txt to render them useless.

Yes it would. But the MSI Afterburner set up has known issues with Windows 7. So be prepared to uninstall. If you are O/C'ing your graphics then set them back to default.

I've used Speedfan for years. I've not heard of any conflicts with the latest versions of Speedfan. Some people were running older versions that used giveIO.sys which was an issue.
It takes a bit of setting up at first but once done, back up your Speedfan.cfg file. Makes it easier to re-set up. Speedfan. I've even found a handy Sidebar Gadget to go with it.

I've only just discovered you can drag n drop the settings around to put your temps in a sort of logical order!!

For info. I put a report in to Alfredo regarding no readings for my HD Radeon card. Quote. "Support for Radeons will be added in 4.45 beta". Unquote.

Two New BSODs

Hello,

After removing the three files from my previous BSOD and re-installing my graphics driver and using driver cleaner. I have had two new BSODs. So It looks like my computer still has a problem. BSODs are attached.

Will this ever come to an end?

nevica, this is likely still related to your initial problems so I have merged it into the same thread. solving BSODs is very complex, many things to try.

You built your own computer so one thing that is very common is that your voltage and RAM timings must be correct. Have you verified your settings are correct for your RAM?
