SOLVED New AIO printer question

I'm running Windows 7 Professional x64 and need to know if anybody on the forum has had any issues with a Epson artisan 710 on Windows 7 x64. If not, I'll be ordering on in about 9-10 hours. Thanks everyone.P.S. I've already downloaded all current Epson drivers/software to my downloads folder, as I know the cd-rom's versions are always outdated.

I have owned or own 3 Epson printers. They're excellent machines!

Plus they use individual color cartridges, and on eBay you can get refillable cartridges for them and save tons of money versus OEM Epson cartridges.

I see the 710 prints CDs & DVDs. Mine does an excellent job on those.

The absolute best CD/DVD label program is Acoustica's CD/DVD Labeler. I think they have a Holiday Special price of $19.95 till Christmas.

I remember back in the olden days, you know, back before you were born, if I ever needed a driver for a printer and didn't have one, in most cases I could get an Epson driver to work. I can't tell you how many of my mom's stupid DOS applications I managed to get printing happily thanks to some generic Epson driver.

I have no idea about Epson printers themselves, or how well they work with modern Windows versions, however.

brkkab123 - Let me give you one passing tip, and this applies to all inkjet printers regardless of brand or whether they're dye ink or pigment ink.

Whenever you're not using the printer, be sure to turn it off. This ensures that the machine parks the print head in a "parked" position which also sets it on a sponge to prevent the print head jets from drying out and clogging. You'll save ink, aggravation, and time spent running the head cleaning procedure.

I always do that. I don't really print that much now. When I had my first Epson Stylus Color 5760 it was in the Windows 95 days. I used to go through 2 of the black & color ink cartridges a week. I curbed that with my last computer, as Lexmarks ink's costed too much. I can get one of the 5 pack Epson color ink's for the Artisan 710 for $20.00 more than 1 Lexmark cartidge costed. I'm glad that printers gone now. I absolutely hated it.
