Can you give more details?

What is not working?
File sharing, printer sharing, other?

Do they ping each other?
Are they on the same subnet?
Is the default gateway the same?

To start, in Windows 7, go to.
Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Network and Sharing Center
Select either Home Network or Work Network under the Network section.

Not to derail the discussion, but in the context of networking within
a single LAN segment, a default gateway isn't even required, let alone
required to be the same.

Richt now they don't do anything. they don't see each other at all. I would
like to be able to share files and more importantly share printers. I am
not sure how to look up subnet, sorry for being a dolt.

I followed you commands, but what am I supposed to do ones I get to Home
Network?

Sorry about the previous posts, I found the work network settings and I
think I have it working now. After downloading the printer drivers I can
print and send files... thank you to all of you!!!
