I'm working on a desktop system and I'm having an issue I can't seem to find a fix for anywhere(not just here).
Compaq 2.2GHz system with:
* 1.5GB RAM
* 256MB GeForce 6200 PCI card
* Windows 7 Home Premium. (runs surprisingly well too)
My trouble is with a Netgear Wireless WG311 adapter that is installed. When you put the computer into sleep mode then wake it again(time interval doesn't matter) the card will not reconnect. If I REBOOT the computer it will not reconnect. If I SHUT DOWN the computer and start it again it WILL reconnect. It was perfectly fine in Windows XP but with 7 it won't work.
* I have already turned off the option in Device Manager to "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power".
* Windows is in control of the connection. The Netgear software is not installed. I tried it but it doesn't work either.
* It is the same if I initiate the Sleep mode or if the power management does after 30 minutes of no usage.
* I have updated the drivers - no effect.
Thanks in advance.
