Hello Folks. My son's laptop hard drive went bad. It has W-7 64 Home Premium. He did not make a copy of the system on a disc. Where can i get information on how or what to do to get his laptop going again? Thanks for any suggestions. Btw, it is an HP laptop. Out of warranty.

You may still be able to buy restoration disk from HP, give them a call and ask. If you can get your hands on Win7 installation media, you can use the OEM key on the sticker to activate the installation. The sticker is usually placed on the bottom of the machine.
