Does "silverlight" do much/any improvement for either browising or
viewing streamed video as per ms claims?

May have missed what the claims for users' uses as it seem to imply
that silverlight improve imaging, at least for developers; I'm not
a developer.

If you are just an end user, you don't get to make that decision.
To actually use it as an end user you have to visit sites that have
implemented it.

Silverlight is MS's version of Flash, so it is up to the web page
developers on whether or not you need Silverlight.

Thanks everyone. The win7 update keep wanting me to update to
silverlight; will "hide" it until I can figure how to delete it. The
ms explanation for the "update" is misleading.

Any site you go to that uses it will prompt you for the Silverlight 3
install.
