I want to migrate from 32-bit to 64-bit. I realize that is a clean start. What I want to know is there an upgrade from my Widows 7 32-bit to the 64-bit? Has anyone done this?

Hey...

No, you must clean install when changing bit versions. No exceptions.

As TG stated, you will need to do a clean or "custom" install as Windows 7 calls it. Be sure to download the latest x64 drivers for all your hardware such as motherboard, video card, sound card or chipset, LAN drivers for wireless and/or NIC cards.

You can't do an upgrade so just kick back watch the x64 install. Once you use the x64 version of Windows 7 you'll never go back to x86, especially if you have 4 GB of RAM or more.
