Just curious, what is the memory Capacity on a 64bit version of Win 7 Ulitmate?

Also Will Win 7 Interface OK with the new 12 Core AMD Processors?

Will it interface ok with 2 of the 12 Core AMD Processors?

Windows 7 Ultimate allows up to 128GB of RAM, problem is finding a motherboard to support it.

Windows 7 will probably interface okay with the AMD 12 Core CPUs, it will probably be more of an issue of the motherboard interfacing with them and if BIOS firmware updates are necessary.

Espazzy, welcome to the forum! I haven't seen them yet on Newegg, when did the AMD twelve core processors come out? There was a recent ad sent to me on the six core processor, the Phenom. As far as I know, that's the first (and only) six core on the market, Intel doesn't have one yet.

That would be one huge leap, going straight from six core to twelve. As for me, I'm considering an AMD quad for my desktop, IF my MOBO will allow for it, and it's a simple drop in replacment. That's something that I'd want to research very carefully, prior to doing anything, because I don't want an incompatable part on here that will cause it not to boot.

If you ever need assistance with anything, always feel free to post. There are many members here, and some of them knows nearly everything about a computer.

Now, I'll go and try to find those twelve core processors.:D

PS: I found them, they are way out of my budget! I can buy a whole computer, probably with the six core Phenom for that price.

Best of Luck,
Cat
