I'm based in the UK and using a DVB-S card in conjunction with Windows7
Media Center Home Premium, I want to completely remove all of the existing
channels and reset everything back to how it was, however I can't seem to
find any option for doing this, as even going through the whole procedure of
a full rescan doesn't put WMC back into its original default condition.
I also have a DVB-T card installed in my PC as well and the problem with
that is that Windows continuously wants to be buggering around with the
existing channel configuration by automatically adding any new channels that
it finds (ditto with satellite, that's why I want to start again from
scratch) this has now become a real pain, as my part of the country is in
the middle of analogue shutdown and some transmitters are swapping
multiplexes and upping their existing digital output power by as much as ten
times, this means that there are now lots of extra duplicated and different
regional programmes arriving from various sources, which I don't want, I'd
like it to 'ask' first and give 'me' the option of installing any newly
found channels, any advice about how I can reconfigure WMC to eliminate the
above annoyances would be most welcome. TIA
