Magnifier not working

Dell put Windows 7 into my Vista controlled computer. All was fine.
I was unhappy with the magnifier and asked for help...which was given willingly In the process the magnifier was corrupted and is now stuck in the docked position.

It irritaes me side ways as I have to get rid of magnifier before I can get to the next part of the page..

Anybody with a knowledge of the insides of Windows 7 and its magnifier function AND can help me would earn my eternal gratitude.

Dell worked on the problem for hours and could not resolve it..

Not sure what you mean by docked. But if the magnifier is visible on the desktop, what happens if you click it and then select the samll square top left and close it from the menu.? (perhaps you cannot even do that?

Otherwise, try open Msconfig startup tab and deselecting it on start, if it is showing - then reboot.
