low priced modern gaming card

I currently have a 9500gt nvidia which is around 6 years old. I just got a new Dell OS 7 professional system with 12 GB ram Intel (R) core (tm) i5 3340 cpu 3.10 quad. Least the salseman said its a quad. Anyway im lookin for a modern low priced but yet good gaming graphics card. One at least much better than this old one i have. Any such thing as $100.00 ish card probably not huh? Only used for that price.

It is a quad. The i5 is quad core without Hyper-threading. The i7 is a quad core with Hyper-threading. The i3 is dual core with Hyper-threading. It is a bit different for mobile computing though.

You must not game much if you are looking at sub $100 cards. If not, do you have a professional need in better graphics?

Current nVidia graphics drivers still support the 8 and 9 series cards. There is still driver support for your card, if you are worried about that.

Just trying to get an idea why you are looking to upgrade. If you do game, which titles do you play?

Well farcry 3 , just cause 2, starcraft 2 comany of heros dont need a better card realy however C.O.H 2 might. I currently have the 332.21 graphics drivers those are the latest correct?

Ahh, so you are gaming. Sorry for assuming you didn't game. I sometimes get lost in the forum life and forget not everyone needs the latest and greatest. lol

Yes, the 332.21 is the latest WHQL release.
