Location is not available

Hello all,
i am using Windows 7 Home basic 64 bit.
m having strange msg box... that
Location is not available
c:\windows\system32\config\systemprofile\desktop refers to a location that is
unavailable. it could be on a hard drive on this computer.or on a network.
check to make sure that the disk is properly inserted, or that you are
connected to the internet or your network and then try again. if it still
cannot be located the information might have been moved to a different
location.

is it my laptop is infected with virus or my profile is got corrupted....
please suggest me solution.

any reason for this Message box..
is it becuase of Windows update.

Can you try re-creating your Windows 7 user account? You should be able to go to : control panel > user accounts > add or remove user account, and then add a new user.

Once you have done that, can you see if the problem still happens when logging on as this new username? If not, you can then just transfer all your data across accounts.
