Live mail password

I've tried to obtain an additional email address - a Hotmail. I think I went through the procedure accurately but now the password that I entered is not accepted by the email account.
Unlike so many other accounts, there does not appear to be a 'Forgotten your password' posibility. Neither can I find a way of deleting this account, and starting again, without a password!
Help!

To reset a hotmail account go to www.hotmail.com and click the "can't access your account" option right below the sign-in.
