Layout like OE6

I set up OE6 (XPH SP3) so that the preview pane was not used for mail, but
was used for newsgroups.

I can't see a way to separate the reading pane (I assume that this is the
equivalent of the preview pane) settings for mail and newsgroups with WLM.
Is there a way to set up WLM in an identical manner to the way my OE6 layout
operates?

TIA

Hi, Jeff.

What did you actually try?

In my copy of WLMail on Win7, the View | Layout settings in Mail are
independent of the settings in News. So I can have a different Layout for
the different functions.

The View button is on the Menu Bar. The WLM Team hid the Menu Bar in this
latest build of WLM, so you may need to press the <Alt> button to show the
Menu Bar temporarily - or press <Alt>+M, M to toggle it on to stay until you
turn it off.

Hi RC

I tried what should have worked. But it has now worked after a reboot.

Be nice if MS gave us the option of showing email and newsgroups in the same
pane like they were in OE6.

You can. Play with the settings.

Outbox and Storage folders, yes. But I haven't found a way to view Inbox,
Drafts, Sent items, Junk e-mail, and Deleted items when Newsgroups are
showing in the Folder pane.
