Basically, MS is holding everyone up (or at least they try).
Basically, Ubuntu will screw you if you try their INFERIOR OS. Bend over
and wait.

yes, however is rude for a member of our government to speak-out during a speech the president is giving. it is just not done.

Instead of just simply bad mouthing it, you really should try it some
time.

I tried Ubuntu. It sucked big time. Removed it - Never to look back.
Ubuntu is crappy. Ubuntu is free and has been free for years yet most
reject Ubuntu as garbage. Get over it.

Good try, but I meant actually TRY it. Not simply install it and then
remove it so you could say you'd done that. I meant actually use it for
some period of time (greater than 20 minutes).

I'd certainly never claim that a OS was 'shit' simply because it did not
run an application not intended to run on it.

Damn.
Why doesn't anything run on it, Ray? Seems that the only quality app's
that do run on it happen to be Windows compatible also, like Gimp and
Open Office.

I tried the LiveCD and the *replacement* app's for all of the good app's
that I use on Windows seemed kind of hokey and featureless. Sort of like
a stripped down car that still runs but, looks like hell.

Really, why go through the trouble?

I don't agree with your assessment. I use, besides OpenOffice and GIMP,
things like Gnucash which do everything I need. It's true that a lot of
Open Source apps are available for MS as well - but not all. Besides the
money, which does add up, Linux is also more secure and more stable.
That's why I 'go through the trouble' - except that it really isn't any
trouble. Install Linux and you're done, in most cases - all kinds of apps
there by default. Start with MS, and you've only started - now install
all those apps you need.
