I thought I had this solved with the "ShellFolderFix" software, but
the old problem reoccurred.
1/ I put a folder on to the desktop.
2/ This folder contains only shortcuts. EG the folder called "Video"
contains shortcuts to various video software.
3/ I want the shortcuts within this folder to appear as "Medium
Icons", and these appear so when I adjust the "view". But they
don't last; next day they have reverted to the "details" default.
4/ I have tried the "properties" of the shortcut folder to change the
"optimize this folder for..." and then I select "pictures" and I tick
the "also apply this template to all subfolders" box. Here I get the
"large thumbnails" which I convert to "medium icons" but alas the
same conversion to "details" occurs next day!
How can I get the shortcut contents of desktop folders maintain a
selected view?
