Internet Spades hangs at "Starting Game"

The subject line says it all. I never had this problem before, but I
just re-installed Windows 7. What gives? Everything else works fine.

Do you get any error code or message ?

To use the ' Turn Windows features on or off ' mentioned go to:
Control Panel >Programs >Programs and Features
and select it from the left pane.
When the box has loaded try unchecking Spades, rebooting and then checking Spades.

No, there was no error code, it just hung. I Windows Update installed
a few things, and then--mirabile dictu--Spades worked again. Go
figure. Thanks anywho, Dave.
